Connect your workouts

Apple Watch · Health Connect · Samsung Health — updated August 28, 2026

1. How it works

Hobbio turns your workouts into the history of your sports hobbies: connect your phone's health integration and every run, ride, swim or gym session becomes statistics (sessions, duration, calories, distance) under the matching hobby — Running, Cycling, Swimming, Gym and more. If the hobby isn't in your profile yet, Hobbio creates and links it for you.

Your workouts are private by default: only you can see them. Publishing to the hobby feed is your choice — see section 4.

2. iPhone and Apple Watch

  1. In the app, open Profile → Settings → External Integrations → Apple and tap Connect.
  2. Choose whether to publish workouts to the feed (you can change this later).
  3. Authorize reading in the Health app when the iPhone asks.

Hobbio reads workouts from the Apple Watch Workout app (and any app that writes to Apple Health), imports your history and, for workouts from the last 30 days, also the map route, steps and average heart rate. New workouts come in automatically when you open the app (at most every 6 hours).

3. Android — Health Connect (includes Samsung Health)

On Android, Hobbio reads Health Connect — Android's health data hub. Any app that syncs workouts to it works: Samsung Health (Galaxy Watch), Fitbit, adidas Running and others.

  1. Android 14 or newer: Health Connect is built into the system. On Android 13 or older, install the "Health Connect" app from the Play Store.
  2. Make your workout app write to Health Connect. In Samsung Health: Settings → Health Connect → turn sync on and allow Exercise.
  3. In Hobbio, open Profile → Settings → External Integrations → Google Health Connect and tap Connect.
  4. Choose whether to publish workouts to the feed and grant the read permissions (exercise, distance, calories).

Hobbio imports workout sessions with duration, calories and distance. Map route, steps and heart rate are currently available on iPhone only.
