Ready-made routines on court and for fitness

The My training card on the Tennis page brings routines built from 20 court drills. Log set by set, in balls or in time.

  • Court warm-up
  • Baseline: consistency
  • Serve day
  • Net game
  • Footwork and agility
  • Solo wall practice

Plus 5 tennis fitness routines: rotational strength, shoulder and rotator cuff, legs and power, forearm and wrist, and match conditioning.

Stroke technique on video

Pick the stroke, record a video of up to 1 minute or pick one from your gallery, and tick the phases you nailed as you watch it back.

  • Forehand, backhand, serve and volley
  • A 5-phase checklist for each stroke, such as unit turn, backswing, contact and follow-through
  • History with a player, notes and the phases ticked on each video

It is a guided self-review: the app does not analyze your motion on its own.

Your match tracked on Apple Watch

Tap Start activity on the Tennis page and your paired Apple Watch opens the Tennis workout.

  • Heart rate and calories from the match in Apple Health
  • Apple Watch card on the hobby page
  • The match counts toward your group goal on its own, no check-in

Rivals with match history

Add a rival on the Tennis page. Once both accept, every match you log goes into the head-to-head history.

  • Invite accepted by both sides
  • Matches linked to calendar events or events created in the app
  • Singles, doubles or team rivals

A group with a ranking and a yearly goal

Create a tennis group with your crew and set the year's goal: practice sessions and a minimum number of matches. The progress bar adds up everyone's practice.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. Routines, stroke videos, rivals and groups work with just your phone. The watch tracks heart rate and calories during the match and counts your practice toward the group goal without a check-in.

Does the app fix my stroke on its own?

No. You record or pick the video and use the 5-phase checklist to tick what you got right. The history shows your progress video by video.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Downloading and taking part is free on iPhone and Android.

Bring your phone to the court and call your rival.

Download Hobbio, follow the Tennis hobby and start with the warm-up routine. Free on iPhone and Android.
